Italian Translator with 9 years’ experience
I was born in a small town in Sicily and studied at the University of Palermo, where I got my BA and MA Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, majoring in English and Spanish.
I then moved to Turin, in Northern Italy, where I got a Master’s Degree in Technical and Scientific Translation from English and Spanish into Italian.
After a year spent teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language in various public schools in Verona, in 2007 I decided to move to Barcelona, Spain, where I still live with my husband.
I started my career as a translator and content manager at Logismarket, one of the biggest industrial portals worldwide, owned by Mecalux. After two years, I was promoted to Marketing and Translation Coordinator within the same Company.
Meanwhile, I enrolled in an Online Marketing Master’s Course and got my Degree in 2010.
Later, I went to work as a Translator at Termisa Energía, a Spanish Steam Generators’ Manufacturer.
In 2016, I decided to take the plunge and launched my Freelance Translation Business.
When I am not translating, I enjoy running (currently training for my first 10 km), reading all kind of information about fashion and restaurants and trying to keep up with technology.
I am a member of Asetrad – Spanish Association of Translators, Proofreaders and Interpreters.
